A Service Dog Hero for Hailey
Started by Alexa Fila

Wendy Anne CarlsonWhat exactly does it mean by the campaign is over now that it has tilted.  I thought it cost $11,000 for the dog.  I hope Alexa can get started working with her dog with the money collected so far.  Service dogs are absolutely wonderful.  I have tried to train my own dog to be my own service dog, but she is never going to be able to handle public access.  The dog Alexa gets will be trained for all situations.  I hope to see both of them at church someday!

Alexa FilaYour generosity and kindness have created a miracle and officially purchased a Hero for Hailey today! As of this morning, Pawsitive Solutions is choosing a dog and placing him/her into advanced training for speciallized hero duty for Hailey.I must be in some sort of shock: I've been walking in circles thanking God all day and must be yelling thank you because Hailey is now checking on me every few minutes!I do not know what to say to all of you that would come close to expressing the gratitude and blessing I feel in my heart.Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!Alexa

Alexa FilaI sure hope I'm not dreaning. Is this right? Your donations have met the goal, the funds needed for Hailey's Hero to start "Hailey training camp" AND you kept going?! I have no idea how to respond or what to say. I'm not even sure I understand this, I'm stunned! Though I have no wish appear illiterate, I shall risk it and try to express my tearful and sincere thank you. I do not want to postpone, hoping I will be more coherent after some time to process this. It is unlikely!THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!I wish I had more to say and, at least, my typical command of the English language to express my heartfelt gratitude.Alexa

Alexa FilaWith the help of our local newspaper, Hailey's story should be on shelves in coming days. I am so excited to share this with all of you. I pray our journey may help to raise awareness of Dravet syndrome AND help us reach out to our community to bring home our hero dog!Thank you so much for your support! Please continue sharing our campaign with your family and friends - we can do this together!Alexa (Hay Hay's Mom)
