Laura is the San Francisco SPCA Community Cares Program Manager. She and her team trap-neuter-return feral cats, run free vaccine clinics, offer transportation for animals for spay/neuter, offer underserved communities free training classes and basically, do a whole lot of really awesome stuff to help keep pets where they belong - with their owners, rather then ending up in a shelter. Laura really (and we mean REALLY) likes her job with the SPCA - as demonstrated by her San Francisco SPCA logo tattoo, her Spay/Neuter tattoo, and a few others she's picked up a long the way to show her dedication. For the last two years, Laura's auctioned off part of her skin canvas to the highest bidder - who chose a tattoo, without her input, to be placed on her at the SPCA's annual Valentine's Day party - Be Mine - an cocktails meets free dog and cat adoptions meets tattoo party.
This year, you can be part of the team covering Laura with more ink without being a high bidder. Join the Crowdtilt campaign for as little as $10, and for every $250 that is raised, Laura will add a tattoo and the funds will go to the San Francisco SPCA to support the lifesaving work. How many will she end up with, thanks to your contributions to the animals? Will there be room? We are sure she'll find somewhere to put as many tattoos as you fund. Each tattoo will be chosen at random, and without Laura's knowledge, via the tattoo shooting gallery - basically the pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey of choosing permanent body art. Seriously, she has no idea what she's going to end up with. Every cent raised will go to the SPCA - the puppies and kittens win! Tattoo flash sheets will be provided by Dannyboy and Taler of Let it Bleed Tattoo Parlor, and all the action will go down at the Be Mine party, Thursday February 13th at the SPCA. After they cover Laura, they'll be doing special Valentine's Day themed tattoos for everyone at the price of just $40. And the SPCA will be providing an open bar, food trucks, free dog and cat adoptions and tons of entertainment.
Laura Gretch's bid to raise dough for the San Francisco SPCA!
Don't miss out-
funding closes at 4pm, February 13th. Come see the magic happen live at
the SF SPCA 3rd Annual Be Mine Cocktail Party, Thursday 2/13, 5pm-10pm.
Open bar, food trucks, and a tattoo station with 4 artists from SF's Let It
Bleed Tattoo Parlor. You can have your very own tattoo for just $40 (and you'll get to pick yours from the flash sheet, unlike Laura, who's stuck with what's chosen in the shooting gallery!) Learn more about the event at www.sfspca.org/be-mine
The San Francisco SPCA is a community-supported, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving, protecting and providing immediate care for cats and dogs who are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate. The SF SPCA also works long-term to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying and neutering and improve the quality of life for animals and their human companions.
